Jaspo Inc. California navel oranges usually arrive around the second week of November and go through late spring (as you can see on the graph below.). The earliest ones have less orange color and less sweetness. In February, March, and April, the peak months, California navels get very sweet.

The California Navel Orange is seedless and larger than the Sweet Orange. Its thick, bright orange skin is easy to peel and protects it for shipping. The sweet, full-bodied sections is made for an excellent eating orange.
In general, oranges in their various forms, like other citrus, thrive in semitropical regions such as Florida and subtropical regions such as California and the Mediterranean. Oranges also grow in tropical areas, mainly parts of South and Central America as well as some areas of Southeast Asia. California's climate produces a more attractive looking fruit with higher acid levels.
